From the beginning, local school districts create the foundation of the statewide tradition of excellence. In Reno County, students can attend six public school districts and five private schools, which annually graduate over 700 students. Learning occurs both within and outside of the classroom, through new and innovative methods and programs.
For example, the Reno Entrepreneurial Development Institute provides real-life entrepreneurial experience for high-school students across Reno County. In the City of Hutchinson, the local public school district (USD 308) has been chosen for participation in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, a prestigious two-year course of study designed for college preparation. Through the demanding program, high school students study several disciplines from a primarily international perspective.

Throughout the area, a high standard of excellence is continually attained. Students are offered the opportunity of a quality education …above and beyond all expectations.
